Surivers of the Island

You are a dog on the tiny island of Malta and an earthquake has happened. All people are dead, traumtized, or wanting to hurt you, such as the tan suited and yellow suited people. Tan people acctually try to catch you and send you back to the main land, where a dog has never come back. While yellow people ignore unless you get to close, which then they will beat at you with a metal stick(tan people also carry poles with hoops at the end, there like dog catchers) The city is abandoned and barely any buildings stand. There are dangers at every turn including the people, other dogs, and dangerous animals. Will you survive, Or will you die on this harsh island?

Jaws had left the group to find food. He soon came back with scraps of meat. He had to make sure everyone had something to eat before eating himself. When he finished he used what was left, a large bone to sharpen his teeth. "We should be moving soon." he barks.

Oscar flicks a black ear as he hears Jaws bark out. He falters for a moment, eyes narrowed and not quite sure if he should go ahead and get up or wait for the others. He grunted and shook his head, standing up anyways and his silk black tail drug against the ground.

Sugar sighed as she finished her chicken. "I know Jaws." she said climing to her paws. Her white pelt glowed in the soft light as she looked at the other alpha. "But I am the first leader and I will decide when we leave." Her brown eyes glanced at Oscar and she tilted her head as if to say lets go.

"Does it matter who's in charge? We'll go now if you all want to live." Jaws replied coldly and got to his paws. He padded ahead, looking for the safest route.

Sugar huffed. "I know this area." she growled and padded away. She slipped out of the building and into a dark allyway. She sniffed the air and found nothing in the wind blowing towards her. The white female started towards the entrance were a pile of rubble partly block the way.

Jaws rolled his eyes, he stayed behind the group to make sure everyone was moving. He sniffed the air suspiciously as he walked. He had a strange feeling they were being watched.

Sugar halted behind the rubble. Her white fur stood on end and she growled softly. She felt eyes on her and sniffed the air. The wind was blowing away from the female and she shifted nervously. She crept forward so she could see around the rubble and stopped tan-coat humans.

Jaws's lip curled into a snarl, revealing his sharp glistening teeth. "Everyone get back." he orders as he goes over to Sugar.

Sugar nodded at Jaws order. "We cant stay here forever." she said softly, "You werent followed when you came back." The white female looked at the other alpha worried. While she loved him, something she would never say to him unless one of them was dying or being taken away, she didnt want to know that he had been careless enough to lead a human back.

"No." Jaws growls. "I was careful the whole time. I would have sensed their presence if I was being followed." he replied as he watched the Tan-coat humans closely. "Unless.." he mutters. "We had a traitor with us."

Sugar looked back at the pack. "Who would do that?" she breathed softly looking at Jaws. She belivied him when he said he was careful.

"I don't know." Jaws admitted. "I suspected a while ago that someone within us has been helping the humans and showing them our locations, but I doubted it would be true. Now I'm not so sure." he glanced towards the pack. "It could be anyone."

Sugar let out a soft whimper. She moved closer to Jaws. "I wonder why they havent been picked up yet by the humans." she said leaning into him gently.

Jaws glanced at Sugar, then stepped away from her. He liked his personal space. "Who knows." he grumbles.

Sugar let Jaws step away and moved back a step herself embarrassed. "We have to go." she said softly.

"Agreed." Jaws replied, slightly cold. He turned away and padded off. Keep your eyes on the track. Sugar is only a distraction. Love is weakness. A weakness that cannot be returned. Keep your head in the game, he told himself.

Sugar mentally kicked herself. Jaws was only the alpha becuse he had earned the right and she couldnt let him know that she loved him. Climbing up a stack of boxes onto the top of a dumpster the white female looked over the wall. Seeing no humans in the ally she jumped over the walll and onto the other dumpster and then down onto the ground.

Jaws padded his own way back, to avoid a conversation with Sugar. When he reached the others, he scanned the area around them. All the members of the pack were here, besides Sugar.

After checking the way Sugar went back to the dumpster. Placing her paws on the wall she stuck her white head over it. "Climb up with boxes and jump over here. Theres another dumpster and a clear run away from the humanas." she barked.

Jaws looked over then nodded. He waited for all of the pack to get across before going himself. When he jumped down, he went over to Sugar.

Jaws glanced over at Oscar. Maybe this guy? He shrugged and looked away. Without prove, there's no point guessing.

Sugar noticed Jaws looking at Oscar and knew that he was wondering if her was the one who was betraying him. "Quietly." she said softly leading the way out of the ally and onto the street moving at a swift pace.
